THE HUNGER GAMES Plot summary:

Katniss Everdeen lives in a place called Panem. Panem lies on what used to be North

America. Panem is split up into 12 districts. Each year, every district is forced to

randomly choose two tributes-one girl and one boy- to fight in the annual Hunger

Games. A fight to the death on live television. Katniss Everdeen takes her sisters place

when she is called to be the tribute of the 74th annual Hunger Games. Katniss will be

trained to kill all the other tributes and be the victor of the 74th annual Hunger Games.

The Hunger Games genre is Acton adventure, science fiction and fantasy. I think it is suitable for

mostly everyone (anyone about the age 12).The UK age rating for this film is 12A because it contains

elements of violence and use of alcohol. This means it’s not appropriate for children as it can give off

bad influences.

The budget to make The Hunger Games was $78 million US dollars.

The film was directed by Gary Ross. The Hunger Games doesn’t resemble his previous work as his

past films have been comedy related.

The cast for The Hunger Games are:

Jennifer Lawrence- she plays Katniss Everdeen who is the main character in the film. Jennifer is a

very successful actress as she has had many other big roles such as Raven Darkhölme / Mystique in

the film X-Men: First Class. The Hunger Games made Jennifer very well known in the film industry.

Josh Hutcherson- Josh plays Peeta Mellark who also stars in the film. He is also a very successful

actor. His first major role was playing in the pilot episode of House Blend. He has had many major

roles since then.

Liam Hemsworth- Liam plays Gale Hawthorne in the film. He is a quite successful Australian actor

and has won awards for his acting.

Woody Harrelson- Haymitch Abernathy is who Woody plays in the film. He is very successful as he

has won an Academy Award (the Emmy Award).

Elizabeth Banks- Played Effie Trinket. Elizabeth has had many other major roles for example playing

Gail Abernathy-McKadden in pitch perfect.

Lenny Kravitz- played Cinna and is not only an actor but a very successful musician.

Donald Sutherland- President Coriolanus Snow

Officer Nina Jacobson. The hunger games were shot entirely on film as opposed to digital. It could

Plot Summary:

Peter Parker (Garfield) is an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as

a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like

most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person

he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy

(Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter

discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to

understand his parents' disappearance - leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr.

Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision

course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use

his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

The Amazing Spider-Man is in the action adventure, superhero and science fiction

genres. I think anyone who is age appropriate and loves superhero type films would

enjoy The Amazing Spider-Man. With this in mind, I would expect to see more males

watching this film than females. This film is a 12A due to the fact that it contains

moderate violence and injury detail.

This films budget was $230 million US Dollars and was directed by Marc Webb.

The film starred Andrew Garfield (who played Peter Parker AKA Spider-Man) and Emma

Stone (who played Gwen Stacy, Peter Parkers love interest). They are both successful in

their careers. But with this being said The Amazing Spider-Man have been the biggest

roles for the both of them.

The production companies for this film are Marvel Studios, Marvel Entertainment and

Relativity Media. The Amazing Spider-Man can be viewed in 2D and 3D. This film also

uses CGI for effects such as flames. The film was distributed by Columbia Pictures who is
