Please mark your calendars to give your time to work a shift to ensure this “Help Fight Hunger” event will again be a huge success. Heard Along the Way… BOWLING NEWS by George Berry On Wednesday, February 8 th , Rockaway bowled the team from Parsip- pany,“ When Pigs Fly” and came away empty, losing all 7 points for the session. The league experienced an interesting evening with three teams winning all 7 points and three teams losing all 7 points. Parsippany en- tered the evening in last place and came away with the sweep. As in all sports, anything is possible on any given night. PDG Maurie was em- phatic that we make sure everyone knows that his team was victorious in their match with our bowlers. Keeping in mind the 4-Way Test, we be- lieve our weekly reporting is “The Truth” and “Fair to All Concerned”. Our bowlers rebounded from this loss the following week with a success- ful session against the 3 rd place “Denville B” team capturing 5 of the 7 points for the evening. PP Sheila & PP Steve had an outstanding session with Sheila scoring 20+ pins over her average each game and Steve Bartsch recording the high game of 221. Rockaway is currently in 2nd place trailing Livingston with Bernardsville and Denville in close pursuit. COPELAND MIDDLE SCHOOL THOMAS JEFFERSON MIDDLE SCHOOL
