FOREWORD

The Holy Spirit is one of the three persons of God:Father, Son and Holy Spirit. For many of us this is adifficult concept to grasp. The Holy Spirit is not avague, ethereal life force. He is not impersonal orunthinking. The Holy Spirit is a "person" equal inevery way with God, the Father, and God, the Son.

The Bible tells us that all the characteristics of Godapparent in the Father and they are equally apparentin the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is composed of intellect, emotionsand will. Although the Holy Spirit has all thecharacteristics of God, he has specific roles andfunctions in our lives.

The Holy Spirit, Father and Son all comprise aunified God head known in Christianity as the"Trinity." While each "personage" is distinct infunction, each shares together in the same deity andeach reflects the divine attributes of the one livingGod.

INTRODUCTION

Many people know that the Father is the Father ofour Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. However, just likein the days of Paul the Apostle there were many whodid not know who the Holy Spirit was. We find thissame situation today in America and around the

world. I find this tragic in a society that has reallyforgotten who their maker really is.

How does not knowing God in His fullness of theTrinity make us feel? I tell you, it should give you afeeling of wanting to know more of His fullness. Itshould be a burning desire to want more than going

to Church on Sunday and leaving out the way youcame in.

In the Old Testament, every man of God had anexperience or an encounter with God. We want thebeliever to experience God just like in the OldTestament. The New Testament believer is unique;because once He accepts Jesus Christ into His heart by

believing by faith that Jesus Christ died and rose fromthe dead, that very moment the Holy Spirit comesand dwells in the believer's heart. That individual is

born again or is saved. His sins are washed away and

salvation has come to him. Now He can begin tounderstand spiritual things.

Many things are said here, but there is a gift of theHoly Spirit. This is when the Spirit of God is given tous in a measure. I believe if God poured His Spiritout on us in the fullness, (like Jesus, who had theSpirit without measure), we could not handle it in our

mortal frame. That's why He gives us what we canhandle at the time.

The ministry of Jesus was local, meaning when Hewas on earth He was in one place at a time preachingand teaching the people. He is still preaching,teaching, healing and casting out devils today; but it

is by way of the Holy Spirit that is in every believeron the face of the earth at the same time. In otherwords, the Holy Spirit ministry is not local. He iseverywhere. He is in the earth fulfilling the ministryof Jesus Christ because the Holy Spirit is the Fatherand the Son in our hearts today.

The Holy Spirits ministry in the earth and in mankindis so important. Because of His ministry, we as believerscan have encounter after encounter with God. Beloved, Itell you the relationship that you will have with God ismore than just attending Church services; Relationshipwith God is when you actually become the Church. Thisis when you, are developed from the inside out by the

Holy Spirit. Like I mentioned earlier, many do not knowwho the Holy Spirit is; but the fact of the matter is, theHoly Spirit is God.
