The library had been around for many decades or even aCentury old! It is a place to learn new things and to enjoy yourself. The library have many books for children, adultsAnd elder people. There are books about fairytales, outer-Space and sometimes about drama! Reading is good asIt improves your Science, mother tongue and English. So the library is a wonderful place to go to.

HISTORY OF THE NATIOAL LIBRARY!
The National Library had its beginnings in 1823 and was inextricably tied to the establishment of Singapore’s first major educational institution, The Singapore Institution, now known as the Raffles Institution, as well as the founder of modern Singapore Sir Stamford Raffles.

FIRST MEDICAL LIBRARY! The Medical Library is the earliest library to be established. It
had its humble beginnings in 1905 when the Straits and Federated Malay States Government Medical School was set up. The Medical Library was first housed in the students' reading room within the Medical School which was converted
from the old Female Lunatic Asylum in Sepoy Lines
