In this case, a range of twelve colours may be sufficient. However, it should be mentioned that with artistic pencils a masterpiece can also be achieved. It is possible to create this either with the artistic pencils themselves or in combination with other techniques. Since the first pencils were introduced, their high potential and simplicity of use has made them very popular, especially among illustrators. Coloured pencils were used widely in history by such artists as Casas, Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse and Toulouse-Lautrec. Despite the fact that all of them worked in various styles, coloured pencils represented a welcome medium for their work - pure and simple, allowing unbelievably varied colour experiments. Coloured pencils were often used for the preparation of sketches and rough drafts of paintings and illustrations. They have become, due to their versatile characteristic, a sought-after medium of graphic artists and designers as well as animators and humorists. Coloured pencils in their substance provide very wide use - from quick sketches to detailed careful artwork. Coloured pencils are the only artistic medium/technique, which allows drawing lines and real kind of painting (in overlapped areas you can still see the original single colours). For instance, the drawings of renowned contemporary English artist David Hockney give proof of what can be achieved with a relatively simple coloured pencil technique. Artists at the beginning were distrustful of coloured pencils. Their distrust lay in the fact that they did not meet requirements on the light permanency of the drawing. Another reason was the limited colour range. Nowadays coloured pencils (within the artistic level) are provided to the artists in such a quality and colour range, along with suitable paper, that nothing can stop or limit the spread of this very adaptable and attractive technique. The key components of POLYCOLOR professional coloured pencils are rich, top quality with perfectly dispersed pigments, carefullyselected and purchased from renowned producers around the world. Their light permanency and dosed concentration alsoinfluence the final result and durability of the artwork. Therefore, a high concentration of pigment dosing has been prescribedfor this product in its entire colour range. The final product is resistant to water thanks to the oily treatment. This gives our coloured pencils, along with the addition of binders and other additives, an unsurpassable ability to make a uniquestroke on paper or another medium. The pencils contain a set of unique components which ensure a convenient, full colourstroke without the necessity of high pressure. This handy feature is enhanced by the preparation of pastels in special oils. Thanks to the diameter of the lead, 3.8 mm, POLYCOLOR coloured pencils provide excellent artistic value to any user. Noblewood, from which the pencils are made, allows easy sharpening.None of the components used during production contain toxic or otherwise harmful substances and the final product is thereforesuitable for all age categories.
