The Histiocyte Society 20th Annual Meeting In the current issue of Pediatric Blood & Cancer, you will find the Abstracts of the 20th Annual Meeting of the Histiocyte Society. Last September, approximately 100 physicians and researchers, involved in the field of histiocytic disorders, from all around the world attended this yearly encounter in the presence of her Majesty Queen Silvia in Stockholm, Sweden. The Educational Committee, chaired by Dr. Arico `, in collaboration with the local organizer Dr. Henter—whose term as President of the Histiocyte Society started after the Stockholm meeting—and his crew had put together a wonderful meeting. From basic research to clinical problems, I clearly feel that there was something for everybody and that we covered the histiocytosis from inside out up to the surface of the patient, especially for those with skin involvement. These presentations should form the basis on which we can build. These presentations highlight how we can further expand our knowledge and how we can improve the overall outcome of all patients with histiocytoses. R. The Histiocyte Society 20th Annual Meeting

In the current issue of Pediatric Blood & Cancer, you will find the Abstracts of the 20th Annual Meeting of the Histiocyte

Society. Last September, approximately 100 physicians and researchers, involved in the field of histiocytic disorders, from

all around the world attended this yearly encounter in the presence of her Majesty Queen Silvia in Stockholm, Sweden. The

Educational Committee, chaired by Dr. Arico, in collaboration with the local organizer Dr. Henter—whose term as

President of the Histiocyte Society started after the Stockholm meeting—and his crew had put together a wonderful

meeting. From basic research to clinical problems, I clearly feel that there was something for everybody and that we covered

the histiocytosis from inside out up to the surface of the patient, especially for those with skin involvement. These

presentations should form the basis on which we can build. These presentations highlight how we can further expand our

knowledge and how we can improve the overall outcome of all patients with histiocytoses.
