January 2, 2020, Janet Epley and Patti Gragg are traveling to Ethiopia. Two

years ago when they went, we sent tubs of backpacks and lunch boxes to the

children of Shalom Orphanage. We are asking you this year to help supply the

children with underwear (socks, bras, underwear).

Last Sunday we had special envelopes tucked in your bulletins. If you did receive

one and would like to donate towards this project, you can place your donation in

the offering plate as it is passed, just be sure to mark your donation “Ethiopia”.

If you prefer to go ahead and purchase these items yourself, you are more than

welcome to do so.

If you do purchase items yourself, please have them back to the church by

Sunday, December 15th. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact

Janet Epley 937-393-8084.

Also, the cost to fly the tubs

of supplies to Ethiopia is

expensive. It will cost

approximately $225.00 to

$250.00 per tub. If you

would prefer to donate

towards this expense that

would be welcome.

The Mission Ministry

purchased rain coats this

year for all the children

(about 40 of them) so

these will also be going.

WORSHIP ATTENDANCE DECEMBER 01, 2019

CAROLING

All youth caroling event this coming Sunday evening, December 8th.

We will meet at the church at 4:00 PM and we will conclude at 7:00 PM

with hot chocolate and pizza.

Kindergarten through 5th grade will have a movie/game night Saturday, December 21st from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Please RSVP so we can plan for food. The RSVP sheet will be in the check in room Sunday morning.

MOVIE/GAME NIGHT

TEAM MEETING

All Ministry Team Leaders, Deacons and Trustees will have a meeting

right after church, Sunday, December 8th. Lunch will be provided.

CHRISTMAS PROGRAM

Little Lamb Christian Preschool will hold their Christmas program

this Thursday evening, December 5th at 7:00 PM.

CORNERSTONE

The Cornerstone Ministry will have a Christmas Luncheon hosted by

the Little Lamb Christian Preschool. We will have lunch in the

Connection Café on Friday, December 13th at 11:30 AM. We will

once again have an ornament exchange. Anyone who wishes to

participate please bring a tree ornament. Please contact

Joyce Orr or Sandy Cramblit

if you plan to attend.

OUR

BACKPACK CLUB

Wednesday, December 11th, will be our last backpack for the year. We

will resume again in the new year, Wednesday, January 15, 2020. Have

a Merry Christmas!

FAITH IN ACTION

Faith in Action will meet Tuesday, December 10th, to assemble the

cookie and soup jar mixes that have been ordered. We will meet at

6:00 PM.

Also, we meet this Thursday, December 5th to wrap presents for the

Angel Tree program. Hope to see you there! Bring any scissors, wrap-

ping paper, boxes or tape you have handy.
