returned to member-owners for 2017 fiscal year
On november 21, 2017, members of Catalyst and Vanguard credit unions chose MORE when they voted overwhelmingly in favour of amalgamating their two financial co-operatives into one.
since then, our boards and employees have been hard at work, uniting these two companies into an even stronger credit union for our members and communities.
so what does this amalgamation mean for you?
• Every member will continue to have an equal voice in the new credit union, through the co-operative principle of “one member, one vote”.
• You will continue to be served by the same friendly, professional staff at the branch in your community.
• Everything associated with your membership will move to the new organization, but you now have access to your accounts at 18 branches… from Oak Lake to Winnipegosis.
• You will, of course, have access to the best in products and services and, in keeping with the legacy of both credit unions, service charges will remain very competitive.
• The latest technology in financial services will be available to our member-owners sooner than ever.
• We will remain focused on making life better in every com-munity we serve. We have always been strong supporters and participants in the development of our communities, and that will continue.
We hope you are as excited as we are for this amalgamation and all it will mean for you, our members. Thank you very much for your con-tinued support, and for choosing us as your credit union!

Catalyst and Vanguard credit unions have both earned solid reputations as innovators, and our amalgamation will give members even more choices in leading edge banking and payments solutions. Advantages of scale will mean we’re able to introduce new ways to manage your money — and pay just about anyone, for just about anything — safely, easily and sooner than ever before.
Our first priority is to make sure every member has access to the best features from both of our legacy credit unions, once our banking platforms are merged together this June.
We’re also working on a number of new services, and enhancements to existing ones, that members can expect in the coming months:
• Tap & Pay for Android Smart Phone — Make purchases anywhere INTERAC† Flash contactless payment is accepted, just by holding your Android phone over the merchant’s terminal. Your phone is linked to your debit card, so payment is always fast, reliable and secure.
• InTERAc Online — it’s like an online debit card! Make purchases online, directly from your credit union account, securely and in real time. no personal banking information is shared with the merchant or any other third party — the transaction is approved within our online banking environment, so you won’t even need to remember a new password.
• new Features for InTERAc e-Transfer — Members will be able to ’request money’ (kind of like sending a bill), with the amount automatically deposited to your account instantly, once the recipient accepts the request — ideal for small businesses! AND... you’ll soon be able to have e-Transfer payments deposited automatically to the account of your choice — no need to log in or answer a security question. Fast, easy... and still perfectly safe!

MORE for ourcommunities
it’s not all businessCredit unions are in business to provide the best in financial services, with competitive interest rates, low fees and friendly, professional service. That’s our job, and we’re good at it. But, unlike our competitors, we’re not in it just for the money. Ultimately, we’re here to make life better for our member-owners and the communities that, together, we call home. We’re proud and generous participants and supporters of events and organizations everywhere we operate, and amalgamation won’t change that. In fact, we look forward to doing even more!
