In the main entrance area, you will find our three hosted sampling stations. Here you can sample gins from around the world, as well as some tasty gin-based food treats.

World Gin Day is a celebration of all things gin, giving us a legitimate excuse (not that we need one) to mix up a cocktail and learn about all of the exceptional gins from around the world and from right on our doorstep.

Edinburgh Gin Sampling Station Since 2010, Edinburgh Gin has been committed to the art and science of distilling, and of creating innovative, award-winning gins. Working with Ian Macleod Distillers, we will be hosting a sampling station throughout the night, so you can discover just some of their amazing gins.

Science & Sensory Visit the INTO SPACE gallery to discover a whole new immersive gin experience. Use all your senses to fully appreciate some of the important botanicals that are being used by Master Distillers, to create wonderful gins.

Head upstairs to the SCIENCE LAB to make your very own flavoured sherbet. Use science to design a unique flavour balance and then enjoy the tongue tingling sweet treat, or take it home to savour later.

Food Court Head outside to the COURTYARD for a light bite, or something more substantial:

- HEIDI THE VAN is a vintage Citroen H-Van serving delicious British and European food of all types. - HUMBLE SAUSAGE AND PIE will be serving a selection of award winning pies, including a very special gin inspired pie created for this event.

Free Glass This year bigger is better, so we have a full-size Gin and Tonic Copa glass for you to take home. Make sure you take your token to the ticket desk upon departure and have a memento to remind you of the night.

Competitions Throughout the night we will be calling the names of lucky winners for prizes of bottles of gin, gin distillery tours and event some gin and tonic popcorn. If you purchased the tickets for tonight, listen out for your name, as we will be picking winners at random from the ticket list.

The Lounge Kittens are gin loving rock chicks with a penchant for a three-part harmony. In the past five years, they have been invited to open for Limp Bizkit, toured the UK and Europe with bad boys of heavy metal Steel Panther and opened for Status Quo’s ‘Last Night of the Electrics’ Tour. Their sets are jam-packed full of their humorous, entertaining and technically challenging covers, from Rammstein to Usher and everything in between.

BOBBY’S

Jacobus Alfons, or Bobby to his family and friends, was born in Indonesia but migrated to the Netherlands in 1950. Bobby loved Dutch

Genever, but missed the taste of home, so he started infusing it with Indonesian spices and herbs, unknowingly creating his own gin and laying down the foundation for Bobby’s Gin.In 2012 Bobby’s grandson Sebastiaan discovered an old bottle of his grandfather’s gin in his mother’s house. Inspired by his grandfather’s story he travelled to Schiedam, the city where gin originated and started work on creating a unique gin, blending the tradition of Schiedam Genever with the best Indonesian botanicals and spices. COTSWOLDS DISTILLERY

The Cotswolds Distillery is the brainchild of Daniel Szor. Dan came to the Cotswolds several years ago from London with his wife Katia and daughter Emily to spend family time at the weekends in an old barn, just down the road from where the distillery now sits.

Using the finest wheat spirit and locally sourced botanicals, the Cotswolds Distillery make a London Dry style Gin. Dan had a bespoke Holstein still made, to which they add the raw wheat spirit at 96% ABV.
