One day,

this mouse was ambling through the forest. It was

peace and quiet then, but a hungry fox sensed themouse and it accosted it. It threatened to eat it up,

but the mouse had a witty remark that he planned

to dine with a bogus friend, called the gruffalo.The

fox, upon hearing this, fled because it was afraid

that the gruffalo would eat him.

This mouse told the same lie to the owl and snake,which both threatened to eat it and the mouse was

safe. The mouse found them funny as they were

easily duped.
