Peter “Bibs” Craig in the Spotlight Peter “Bibs” Craig has been working for W. O. Grubb for 5 years and drives to the Richmond Branch from Fredericksburg every day. Not only does he do the drive every day, Peter arrives at least an hour early for work to make sure his tractor is clean and ready to go. Peter really goes above and beyond and has great pride for W. O. Grubb. “W. O. Grubb has good equipment so everyone should do a part to take care of it.” He truly enjoys keeping his tractor clean not just on the outside but also the inside is spotless. Instead of sitting around on the weekends Peter takes the tractor home to clean and wax it with his two French bull dogs. Peter said, “How many can you comb your hair in?” He’s even had customers and random people on the street ask to take photos. Peter “Bibs” Craig is one of our employees who truly helps keep W. O. Grubb on top.

The Major Projects Division took on a huge project for Dominion in Altavista, VA. Keith Rind, Jigger Tanner, JT Hayes, Chris Reed and our in house ironworkers were in charge of taking out a generator to send off to Willis Road in Richmond for a new rewind. They had to remove structural steel and siding from the building, slide the generator north on a pedestal then rotate it and finally lock and slide the generator east through the side of the building. The Liebherr LTM1300, 365 ton All Terrain Crane hoisted the generator off an elevated run way and placed it on an over the road transporter. They are now waiting for the return of the generator to put back on the foundation.

Be sure to check out the September issue of AC&T magazine. Our own, Chuck Cooke, wrote a safety article featured in this issue. W. O. Grubb has 2 other features in the magazine as well.
