The Revolution Remember, remember the fifth of November, the gunpowder treason and plot, I see of no reason, why the gunpowder treason, should ever be forgot. In remembrance of the fifth of November. A date in which a man by the name of Guy Fawkes tried to functionally overthrow the corrupt government of old England in 1605. He dug a tunnel under the parliament building, and tried to blow it up. Although he was caught underground, and sentenced to be hung. This is but a simple story of a man who loved his country, and was willing to do anything to try to protect equality and freedom for all those future generations to come. There are of course men like those of old England, who do not want us to speak. I expect right now orders are being shot into telephones, and men with guns will soon be on their way. Why, because while the truncheon may be used in lieu of conversation. Words will always retain their power, words of the means to meaning, and for those who will listen, the annunciation of truth and the truth is, there is something terribly wrong with our world isn’t there? Cruelty and injustice, intolerance and oppression, and once where you had the freedom to object to think and speak where you saw fit. You now have sensors and systems of surveillance, coercing your conformity and soliciting your submission. These people now define the corrupt governments of our world. Look at the men and women of Wall Street; do they seem to be protected by the U.S. government out there? NO! Actually there being brutalized by the Police, and for what? For speaking their minds, where the government say’s they can’t. Look at the men and women of Egypt, they just went through a literal Revolution, and now there military won’t give control of the government back to the people. Look at the mass media. They come out and interview some of the men and women affiliated with the occupy movement, and they only air those few that don’t know what they’re talking about. Look at the tyrants of London quite literally banning public assembly and marching! Look at the 1% of the population controlling and consuming 40% of the wealth, and they are getting more every day. Look at the rich buying and selling positions of political power, just to ensure they stay rich and the poor stay poor. Look at the quote “Piracy Bill” that has just passed the U.S. Congress literally attempting to censor the Internet. Look at the senate which recently voted that any military official can detain any American citizen that should be labeled a “terrorist”, and that these people will not be read there Miranda rights, or even given a lawyer! You may ask how the world got this way. Well certainly some are more to blame than others, and they will be held accountable. Then truth be told, if you’re looking for the guilty you need only to look into a mirror. I know why you did it you were afraid, who wouldn’t be? War, terror, disease, economic collapse, there are a myriad of problems to corrupt your reason, and rob you of your common sense. Fear got the best of you, and in your panic you turn to people like Barak Obama, Rick Perry, Mitt Romney, and George Bush. They promised you order, they promised you change, and all they asked in return is your quiet obedient consent. For I have written this to remind this world what it has forgotten. More than four hundred years ago, a great citizen wished to embed the fifth of November forever in our memories. His hope was to remind the world that fairness, justice and freedom are more than just words, they are perspectives. So if you see nothing, if the crimes of this government remain unknown to you. Then I would suggest you allow the fifth of November to pass unmarked. But if you see what I see, if you feel as I feel, and if you would seek as I seek. Then I ask you to stand beside me, outside the gates of your governing establishments on the fifth of November 2012, to give these tyrants a day never to be forgotten.
