The teams played hard. Every time the Birds got the ball, they flew 123

Suddenly Bat flew onto the field and stole the ball. None of the 148

Birds could stop him. Bat scored a goal. The Animals had won! 160

Bat was allowed to name the penalty for the Birds. You Birds must 173

leave this land for half of each year, Bat said. That is why the Birds 188

fly south each winter. Every day, at the end of the day, Bat still comes 203
