A government has to decide:

How much to tax people and goods What it is going to spend money on Where they should build new buildings (e.g. hospitals, offices, and

colleges)

on plans for future and improvement of condition of the people

Election It is a process of voting by which people decide who will form the government.

People older than 18 years vote.National Assembly A large group of elected people who discuss

important matters for the whole countryProvincial Assembly A group of elected people who discuss

important matters related to a provincePrime Minister The head of the national government

Chief Minister The head of the provincial government

Minister A member of national assembly who looks after a department. He is appointed by

prime minister.President Makes sure that the government is run by

constitution and he represents country as head of state.

Governor Makes sure that the provincial government is run by constitution.

Constitution Set of rule that everyone in the country has to follow and it protects democracy.

Democracy Government is run by leaders voted by people.

Senate Group of member from national assembly and provincial assembly who approve the

new laws.
