The Good Samaritan is a
story Jesus told to a
lawyer. One day the
lawyer came up to Jesus
and asked “How do you
receive eternal life?”
Jesus responded with
“what does the law say?”
The lawyer then
responded “Love your
neighbour as yourself. But
who is my neighbour?”
Jesus then told him a
story…
WHAT IS THE GOOD SAMARITAN?
THE GOOD SAMARITAN STORY
One day a man was travelling
from Jerusalem to Jericho
when he was attacked by
robbers. Not long after, a
priest came by and just
walked past. After a while a
Levite also passed by on the
other side of the road,
pretending to not see the
man. Finally a Samaritan
came and helped he man
onto his donkey. He brought
the man to an inn, and told
the innkeeper to look after
the man.
The meaning of the
Good Samaritan story
is telling us to treat
people the way we
want to be treated.
Also, if you see
someone in need, you
should go and help
them even if you don’t
get a reward.
THE MEANING BEHIND THE GOOD SAMARITAN
The Good Samarian
has taught me about
treating people nicely,
and loving your
neighbor as yourself. I
think, that means you
should treat others
well with out wanting
a reward. The good
Samaritan story, is
very meaningful and
should be known all
around the world.
WHAT HAVE I LEARNT FROM THE GOOD SAMARITAN?
In the playground, if you see
someone crying or upset, you
can go and comfort them.
If one of the younger students
has no friends, you can play with
them or help them make friends.
If one of your classmates are
having trouble with their work,
you can go and help them, and
explain the activity.
WHAT ARE GOOD SAMARITAN ACTS WE CAN
DO AT SCHOOL?
