Greetings and grace to you today in HIS Name, Jesus. The prayer of mine is that God gives you "grace to help" for the challenges and blessings of this day. I want to thank you all for your response to the FINISH emphasis for April, May, June, and July. As we began this project, we needed $60,000 to pay off the small debt, recover the pews, and refurbish/replace the choir chairs. We have given to this a bit over $15,000 to date. The pew fabric has been or-dered (color pecan) and the choir chairs placed. Hopefully by the time you read this, we will have a date to begin the upholstery project coordinated with the upholsterer who we will be assisting. Your participation is needed and commended. As summer is upon us with the close of school, let me strongly encourage you about your Sunday School and Worship attendance. I remind you that your small group suffers when you are not present, the choir is weak without you, and worship is better with you here. It is a great joy to serve you as we have begun our 19th year pastoring you. Your prayers are al-ways needed! Bro. Derwin

Summer Schedule All activities begin at 6:30 pm.
AWANA & Ministry Suppers will resume in August.
We will be taking the summer off from our Wednesday night Bible study to lead the Children’s Summer Wednes-day night ministry. We will also be having a Game and Movie Night on Friday, June 10th at the Property (weather permitting) beginning at 7:30PM. We will have games, food, and a movie on the big screen outside after dark. For those of you with kids feel free to bring them, we will have ac-tivities for them as well.

Church Nursery
Please help us keep our babies safe by remem-bering that only adults who are nursery staff, scheduled nursery volunteers and mothers who are nursing are permitted in the nursery rooms. Exceptions will be made during emer-gencies only.
Church security is in need of 2 men each month to help with securing the church build-ings after all Sunday morning/evening and Wednesday night services. This includes mak-ing sure all outdoor entrances are locked and turning off lights and heat or a.c. The sign-up sheet is in the middle foyer. Please see Jim Blackburn with any questions.

The Worship Choir - The Worship Choir
practices in the choir room each Sunday afternoon. We invite you to come and be a part of this ministry team. God has blessed us with so many giving people. What is keeping you from giving the choir a try? We hope you can come to a rehearsal and help us as we make a joyful noise together. Practices are only 1 hour per week (4:30 to 5:30 pm). Please see Bro. Mike if you have any further questions.
Orchestra News - The SBC Church
Orchestra rehearses each Sunday morning at 9:10 am before Sunday School. Please see Bro. Mike about the qualifications of playing in this music ministry. Most band students can think about joining this group after 2 full years of band experience. We hope you will decide to join us in the fu-ture! Come grow with us. We have recent-ly added 5 new members!! Praise be to God!!

There will be no ladies’ activities during
June and July except for the Quilting Group
which will continue to meet every Tuesday
night from 6:30-8:30pm in the Fellowship
Hall. All ladies are invited to attend!
Ladies, mark your calendars for a Cou-
poning Class to be held on Thursday night,
August 4, at 6:30pm in the Fellowship Hall.
The class will be taught by Denise Strick-
land. Come and Denise will show you how
to save money! Also, watch the church bul-
letin and listen out for The Armor of God, a
7-session Bible study by Priscilla Shirer,
also coming in August!

the Second Baptist women and Billie Cor-
ley on November 4-5 at Epworth by the
Sea, St. Simons Island, Ga. To secure your
spot at the Conference submit a $25 de-
posit with a registration form which can be
found in the middle foyer. Make your

Summer is here!! Summer usually brings a time of great
family vacations but don’t keep your kids away too long
because we have a lot of great lessons, activities, and fun planned for the summer!
