The God Who Hears and AnswersAll through scripture God gives the invitation to call upon Him There is never atime when it is inappropriate or futile to call on God We can call to Him inconfession from the mirey condition of our sin and experience His forgiveness We can call upon Him in the depths of confusion and find His wisdom Wecome to express to Him our poverty and find His provision We can praise Himfrom the mountain top and cry out to him from the deepest valley The bestsummary statement the Bible gives to us is this 16thinspLet us then with confidencedraw near to the throne of grace that we may receive mercy and find grace tohelp in time of need Hebrews 416 (ESV)

Prayer is as vital to the life and health of a follower of Christ as breathing is toyour body This is also true for the life of the church The church is the body ofChrist and He is the Head of the body Therefore constant accurateinteractivity must take place One of the aspects of this interactivity is prayer

In this season of the life of Godrsquos church as expressed in the Valley churchfamily let me make some suggestions on how we may pray

37thinspThen he said to his disciples ldquoThe harvest is plentiful but the laborers arefew 38thinsptherefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborersinto his harvestrdquo Matthew 937ndash38 (ESV) Pray that God would provide peopleto prepare people to meet Jesus both here in the Fox Valley and around theworld A specific prayer for us in these days would be to pray for the Buildersfor Christ team leaders as they gather their teams together to come and work

this summer Whenever our team goes to work on a church building we havethe strong conviction that the work we do will result in that church being ableto more effectively prepare people to meet Jesus in that community That willbe the focus of the people coming here this year as well Pray that God willprovide all the workers needed

Pray for each other that we would grow deeper in our relationship with our LordJesus Christ On several occasions the Apostle Paul prays for other believers Here is one of his prayers that I would encourage you to pray for eachother 14thinspFor this reason I bow my knees before the Father 15thinspfrom whomevery family in heaven and on earth is named 16thinspthat according to the riches ofhis glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit inyour inner being 17thinspso that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faithmdashthatyou being rooted and grounded in love 18thinspmay have strength to comprehendwith all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth 19thinspandto know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge that you may be filled withall the fullness of God Ephesians 314ndash19 (ESV) Pray this for your brothersand sisters in Christ This prayer can have far reaching impact as God works inthe church leadership and teachers to help each person know and understandhow to grow in these areas in Christ It will also be used by God to break downthe barriers in each life so that each one of us may experience fully all He hasfor us

Easter Egg Hunt

Valley Baptist Church is hosting an egg hunt on Easter Sundaybetween the 845 am and 1045 am Worship services

There is no Sunday School The hunt will be held outdoorsweather permitting Children of all ages up to age 11 are

invited to participate Parents should register their childrenHERE by April 2nd

Hunts start at the following times Ages 4 and Under - 1000 am

Ages 5 - 11 1015 am Donations of individually wrapped candy (no hard candy)small enough to fit in a plastic Easter egg can be dropped offin the church kitchen before March 28th
