A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT

On behalf of the Gridiron Board, we wanted to extend our appreciation for all

of your support and help. So many of you have volunteered your time, ideas

and or joined as a Gridiron member to help enhance the Lancer Team and

community. Our membership has exceeded last years at 86%. Please

continue to visit our website and email us with any suggestions you may have

to improve the program and or experience for your player and family. Our

board meets monthly and is highly motivated to help your sons have a

LANCER COMEDY NIGHT

Our first ever Lancer Comedy Night is scheduled for Saturday October 21st at

the Backyard Brewery starring Boston’s Funniest Comic Tony V. This is an

adults only show. There is limited seating so be sure to purchase your tickets

WHITE OUT

September 15, our first home game of the season, is quickly approaching. This will be our WHITE OUT game in honor of Mike Walsh. Mike was a big supporter of our band and the football and baseball teams. Proceeds from the sales of WHITE OUT t-shirts will go towards the Walsh Family College Fund. We expect attendance will be very high - 2-3,000 fans!

CONCESSIONS

The concession stand will be very busy and we need volunteers. We ask for the parents of the freshman and JV teams to help during the game and the varsity parents can help with breakdown. Please click HERE to sign up to help. We can’t do it without you. We are relying heavily on volunteers this year as we do not have the school staff to support us. The benefit to this is that more proceeds from concessions will go towards our program.

GRIDIRON STORE

Has anyone noticed it’s getting colder? Gridiron now sells jackets! We also have lots of other apparel available through our online store, including Lancer bracelets that make a great gift item for any female They are not football specific. Click HERE to access the online store.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Lancer football is lucky to have not one but TWO team photographers this year,

Tara McAlister and Christine O’Loughlin. They will be busy taking pictures of all

the teams, so you owe it to them to check out their amazing photos HERE

THE PANCAKE CONSPIRACY

Apparently, there were a lot of hungry football players awaiting the annual Pancake Breakfast this year. Anne Lowe,

Events Coordinator and JV Team Mom, reports “We couldn’t have it on the 25th because that was a teacher workshop”.

Rather than rescheduling the breakfast to Friday, September 1st, the Gridiron opted to cancel it and let the boys sleep in.

When asked for comment, Ben, a Junior Lancer, responded “What Pancake Breakfast?”

COACH’S SPOTLIGHT

Head Coach Lauzon is starting his fourth year with the Lancers. As the new

season fast approaches, we caught up with him to ask a few very important

questions:

What is your favorite food? Mashed Potatoes

What is the last movie you watched? The Big Short

Who is your favorite player? Emmitt Smith

SHOUT OUT TO OUR TEAM MOMS

From sending team updates to delivering snacks on a bus filled with smelly football players we thank you!
