Why Map Your Network?

Identify Who Is in Your Network
(And everyone’s will look different!)
• Staff, interns, volunteers, and board members (past + present)
• Existing donors and supporters
• Professional contacts
• Beneficiaries/constituents
• Family, friends, and neighbors
• Sports team
Who Is in Your Network?
A. Make a list of the networks to which you belong.
B. Within each network, write down the names of the
core members.
C. Star the network members who could serve as “fundraising
advocates” for your organization.
Map Your Network
• Are interested in your projects and/or the issues that you affect
• Are able to serve as strong brand ambassadors
• Will speak positively about your organization
• Have large networks of their own
• Have time to commit and a willingness to help
