T H E G L O B A L E L E M E N T - t h e p r o j e c t ______________________________________________________ An multiple series of five digital (video) works, representingbiophysical structuralities of five elementary forces, foundin natural environments, focused from a global perspective. Counterbalancing irresistible 'politiconomical' aspirations, named "Globalization", the creating artist travelledon a mission around the world in one full circle, aiming to capture processual shapes of the essential elements EARTH, WATER, FIRE, AIR and SPACE in selected globally distributed locations, for to visualizeuniversal qualities of their specific, local appearance. The time-based art of THE GLOBAL ELEMENT materializesin the form of extreme slow motion imagery - almost close to freezing the picture stream of the natural motion documented -with the intention of conveying to the observer the interlockings of the participating forces. And In this way it manifests a contemporary view of our deep humanembeddedness in processes around us - permutatingin a universal "loop/spiral" - forever and everywhere. The resulting installation refers - respectfully - to the architecture of the ritual native-american "sweat lodge". With four horizontaldirections plus one vertical, as a visitor, you can physically enter a virtual parallel of a traditional location where you may 'cleanse your soul', by connecting to these elementary powers. A holy place developed for to congregate and reflect on universal interconnectedness.
