The Gazebo ProjectRecommendation for the endowment to address priority improvements
• Shelter is a biological and physiological human need• At Savannah State, we one have one outdoor sheltered area• Great place to hold events, but not one for a daily based
student gathering• We propose that the senior management use the $50,000
endowment to build extra gazebos to benefit the student body
• Our group conducted surveys and interviews to establish need and come up with a bottom line price
• This project may not initially appeal to the student body, but we strongly feel that it will be used regularly and become a valuable addition to campus
Introduction
• Our group conducted a total of 100 surveys to show the usage of the preexisting gazebo and if the student body have an opinion on the issue
• One member found out the price of the original gazebo, why it was built and why weren’t any others built around campus
• Another member found out all of the safety concerns that come with having more gazebos on campus
• The last member spoke to contractors about the pricing and available locations of building any new gazebos
