THE GARDEN SQUARE GRAPEVINE 1950 S. Beverly St., Casper, WY 82609 Office: 307-215-5024 | www.gardensquarecasper.com | APRIL 2017 LETTER FROM THE ADMINISTRATOR Hello everyone, wow is this year going fast? I cannot believe it is already April! March seemed to just fly by! I am excited for April showers as I hope that brings us some warmer weather, and beautiful greenery. I wanted to let everyone know how much I appreciate the support and patience with some of our changes at Garden Square. We are always changing and growing to make sure your friends and family members are receiving the best care possible. We are always trying to come up with ways to make Garden Square better. We have a program called Marvelous Meals. We want to use some of YOUR favorite recipes in the menu. We are always striving to get as “homey “as possible, and this is one of the ways we would like to do that. So please, next time you come across a recipe you think we would enjoy, drop it by Jill or Mercedes ‘office! Audrey K. (left) Larry M. WELCOME TO THE FAMILY April is volunteer month, so a huge thank you to all of our volunteers. Without volunteers, we wouldn’t be as successful in providing Joy, Independence, and Wellness in the lives of our residents. Winston Churchill once said, “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” This quote speaks volumes, because volunteers give something very precious, their time, even when they don’t have any to give. So again, if you know a volunteer, thank them because what they’re giving to others is selfless, and priceless. Happy Volunteer Month!! I hope you all have a wonderful April! It is always a pleasure to care for your loved ones. Thank You! Sincerely Jill Tucker Administrator Also welcome Helen H. (not pictured)

WELCOME TO THE FAMILY

April is volunteer month, so a huge thank you to all of our volunteers. Without volunteers, we wouldn’t be as successful in providing Joy, Independence, and Wellness in the lives of our residents. Winston Churchill once said, “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.”

This quote speaks volumes, because volunteers give something very precious, their time, even when they don’t have any to give. So again, if you know a volunteer, thank them because what they’re giving to others is selfless, and priceless. Happy Volunteer Month!!

I hope you all have a wonderful April! It is always a pleasure to care for your loved ones.

Thank You!

Sincerely

HAVING A BLAST AT GARDEN SQUARE OF CASPER!

Volunteering is an incredibly fulfilling activity and can give new meaning to our lives.

Perhaps this is one of the reasons so many retirees find such great joy in volunteering. When we leave a career, we sometimes need a new enterprise to give us a sense of meaning in life. Finding a new sense of meaning and purpose is one of the major factors in aging successfully.

Volunteering in the community gives us many new opportunities, including the opportunity to:

• Help others

• Use our skills, wisdom, abilities, and knowledge in new and meaningful ways

• Enrich the lives of others

• Cultivate new social networks

• Learn new things

• Make the community and the world a better place

• Feel good about the ways we are using our time

There are volunteer opportunities all around us. Look and remain open to new ways to help others and make a difference in your community and our world. One of the most common ways to volunteer is to read to children, even if it’s just for a few hours per week. The rewards will far outshine your expectations.
