The Fly and the Roach

The Fly and the RoachThere was once a fly, who lived in a rich mans kitchen. The fly was never hungry, as he always ate the mans fresh and hot food right under his nose, and he always escaped from the swatter afterwards. The fly could eat whatever, whenever and as much as he wanted.

There was once a roach, who lived in the same kitchen. The roach was never hungry, as he always waited for the night to come, so he could eat the stale and cold leftovers of food the rich man left. Dont be a wimp; youre never going to get as much food as me by hiding like a sissy! said the fly to the roach. The roach didnt care. Then the fly proposed the roach a competition: who gets more food by the end of the month is the winner. The roach didnt care either, and accepted the challenge to stop him from talking.

The fly continued to eat the mans food in broad daylight, now eating almost twice the food he ate before in order to win the competition; it was a piece of cake for him. But he ate so much he got fat, and his flight became slower, until the mans swatter finally hit him. The roach never cared to get more food; he was never hungry to begin with.
