President’s Message Mary Clare Codd SIOR

Dear Fellow SIORs and Friends, I wanted to thank the membership for allowing me to serve as the Chapter President, it is an honor.

We had a busy third quarter! In September, we had the SE Regional Conference on Amelia Island. We had over 250 people in attendance. Sixty of which were from the FL Chapter. The venue, speakers and activities were great. Jeff Graham, Ed Redlich and Moses Salcido were instrumental in the success of the Conference. The next SE Regional Conference is scheduled for September of 2017 and the location under consideration is in Savannah.

The National Conference in Chicago had over 900+ attendees. Jeremy Giles, Prologis speaker stressed the importance of continuing to differentiate your approach to business and your clients.

Good news! National has agreed to collect National and Chapter dues going forward. This will allow us to make one payment. National has streamlined the Board and has introduced a new Logo which we will share later this year. Bob Dikman worked on this for our Chapter. Thank you Bob!

We have a great group of SIORs who have volunteered to be on our Board. Please reach out to them with suggestions for meetings, speakers and possible new members. We also want to thank our Sponsors for their continued support as they are instrumental in strengthening our Chapter events, meetings and making it easier for us to do business with them. On another note, John Parr, Administrator Extraordinaire, is retiring this year.

John, we thank you for your guidance and friendship throughout the years and wish you good health and fun trips visiting family.

Shannon Monteleone, in Orlando has been selected as our new Administrator. Welcome Shannon! Shannon also does administrative work for NAIOP. The Spring Conference is scheduled on May 19 and 20 at The Alfond Inn in Winter Park, FL.

Please let us know what type of speakers and topics you would like to have included at this event. Our goal is to provide informative topics, a good venue, and quality meeting time for members and sponsors.
