• Activities of the Finnish Association of FireOfficers is financed mostly through trainingparticipation fees (19 %), risk management and other self-financed activities (36 %) and membership fees (4 %)

• Also Fire Protection Fund gives general and project funding (36 %)

In the symbol of Finnish Association of Fire Officers is a figurerepresenting fire

- Red Rooster -

Chained with clasps, as according to Finnish proverb: Fire is a good servant but bad master.

Yellow rosettes on the top part of the symbol refer to fourprevious divisions and to honour traditions the symbol hasn’t

been changed despite restructuring organisation.
