Our mission statement is to educate our community about agriculture through the eyes of our children. Our hope is through education we can empower people to understand the importance of agriculture and the impact it has on all of our lives. Our focus for 2016 is to educate people on the history of farming in and around our community so they can truly appreciate the progression of the farming industry. A THREE EVENT SERIES “ROOTS, SHOOTS & BLOOMS”

“Roots” Honoring National Ag Day

Date: Saturday March 19th Time: 10 am – 1 pm Event Donation: $5/person This event will feature a tractor parade, farm history museum and a special slideshow presentation by Libby Myers and Chic Jansky called the “Barns of Salem County.” Parade starts promptly at 10 am so don’t be late. Light snacks will be available for purchase.

“Shoots” Celebrating Earth Day

Date: Saturday April 23rd Time: 10 am-1 pm Event Donation: $5/person Guests will venture out around the farm on a hayride to plant a tree on our historic farm to celebrate the 46th annual Earth Day. During this event our guests will have hands on farming experience by helping to prepare our 1st Community Garden. Come Dirty and Leave Dirty! Pack a picnic lunch or purchase lunch at the farm.

Salem County Arts in Bloom

Date: Sunday May 22nd Time: 10 am – 1pm

FREE EVENT! At this event we will be planting several items in our community garden as well as potting plants for guests to take home. Guests will be able to participate in farm art activities as well as ride on our favorite trash to treasure project – the tractor barrel trains. Stop by anytime between 10 am and 1pm for some gardening, farm art and light snacks.
