THE
EXPRESSION

CORPORATE
RENAISSANCE:

RECEPTIVE
PRIVATE
COLLABORATIVE
(The company), a 100-year old
insurance firm, had spent 30 years in
its previous location. The business itself
had evolved, but its image needed a 21st
century renovation.
A local marketing firm helped (the
company) arrive at a series of initiatives
named “The (company) Renaissance,”
as well as creating a new brand for the
company.
The company’s new space needed to
express (the company’s) vision and new
graphic image.

ELEGANT
TIMELESS
Sustainable solutions were
given top priority. The design
team chose materials with
high recycled content,
renewable sources,
Greenguard and
Cradle to Cradle
Certifications, and
low VOCs.
SCULPTURAL
GRAPHIC
INVITING
(The company) supported local artists
with its purchase of mixed media
pieces strategically-placed
throughout the space.
An FSC wood ceiling encircles
the core of the space marking the major
circulation path throughout all staff
areas and serving as a direct
connection to the reception area.

BRANDED
The board room table is made of reconstituted walnut veneer and etched glass. It is trapezoidal in shape to create openness toward
the audio visual wall, and echoes the (the company’s) “Power of V” motto.
TRANSPARENT
URBAN
CONNECTION
An emphasis on daylighting led to the creation of glass-fronted offices along the perimeter of the space, allowing connection with and
view of the historic urban setting of the building.
WELLNESS

RELEASE
(The company’s) cultural evolution
inspired a focus on employees,
with an innovative wellness program.
Its new well-equipped fitness room,
stretching area and locker rooms
are accompanied by a quiet room,
providing a break from the
sometimes hectic activity
of the offices.
