The expansion of Langston University Tulsa will support Vision 2025 initiatives by:

• Enhancing access to education for Tulsa residents and encouraging creativity through innovation

• Provide trained workforce for healthcare industry in Tulsa and surrounding areas

• Reduce health disparities in Tulsa through education in the community

Brief History of Langston University – Tulsa

• 2005 Phase I initiated: Construction began on the first building as a

result of a contribution from Vision 2025

• 2009 Phase I completed

• 2013 Storage facility & flag mall completed through Vision 2025 funding

• 2015 Proposed Phase II campus expansion project through Vision 2025 funding

Professions*

Existing building houses academic programs in a variety of disciplines

* Program offered in Tulsa at rented space on OSU-Tulsa Campus

Challenge

Langston University offers strong programs to prepare health care professionals in Tulsa. We

are unable to meet the demands of enrollment due to space limitations.

These vital courses are currently being offered at a facility other than our own.

Opportunity

Langston University is poised to further enhance our partnership with the City of Tulsa by

offering high-quality, high-impact programs to the citizens of Tulsa and surrounding areas.
