The Entrepreneurship cell of Datta Me-
ghe College of Engineering, abbreviated as
ECELL DMCE was founded in August, 2014 by
Mr. Ankit Jaiswal, B.E student of Electronic de-
partment of the college with a handful of team-
mates. From then till date we have been contin-
uously working towards fostering entrepreneur-
ship in our college. All our efforts are very well
encouraged by Mr. Sameer Ekbote (Faculty Co-
Ordinator) and Dr. Aruna Henry (Faculty Advi-
sor). We have our official website
“www.ecelldmce.com”. We even have a youtube
channel and a facebook page to keep our fol-
lowers tuned to latest events and updates. We
aim at doing much, learning more and sharing
the most!!

ECELL DMCE organised its first ever maiden event “Illuminate! - a Busi-ness Plan Workshop” on 6th September, 2014. We aimed at creating awareness about the intricacies related to entrepreneurship, writing a B-Plan, Marketing and finance. It was a workshop from E-CELL IIT Bombay in association with ECELL DMCE. Students and Faculties from other col-leges also visited. The event was a great success and gained apprecia-tion from all. We were well supported by Mr. Samir Ekbote and Dr. Aruna Henry.

EXCELLENCE ALERT !
With joint efforts of our entire team and few professors we managed to se-cure 16th rank amongst 107 col-leges across the country!! We or-ganised many competitions, workshop and seminar within our college cam-pus to which we got a lot of boost from our profes-sors and stu-
dents.
GROUP DISCUSSION
Issue 1, Volume 1 March, 2015
We have performed some competitions wherein
participants had to fill an interactive Google form which
had set of questions related to problems which they think
they can solve and their approach towards the same. The
forms were designed and floated by some of our team
members. We kept the records of all the entries made,
forms filled and finally the winners were declared. One
such competition was of google form theme “I would like
to…”. The judgement criteria was the problem (how grave/
creative is the problem that you are solving), product/
service (how innovative or creative is the idea) and scala-
bility. Overall we got 58 responses and in that the best
two are as follows:-
Shreemayi Ganorkar
Company/ College name:- Creative Creations
Rajashree Naik Company/ College name:- Datta Meghe College Of Engineering
More such Google form events were on “Sharing an
application idea” and “Why no to entrepreneurship”.
We had prepared a power point presentation on en-
trepreneurship facilities by government aiming to
spread awareness about the various Entrepreneur-
ship related schemes and facilities provided by gov-
ernment (region / central).
ECELL DMCE had also organised a Creative Story Tell-
ing competition wherein participants had to create
their own story for advertising and promoting the use
of UC browers in a pdf format. Top four stories were
sent to IIT Bombay.

E-CELL DMCE’s Food startup
E-CELL DMCE organized its
first ever start-up in the form of
the “Food and Beverages Stall”
in Technitude 2015(DMCE’s
technical festival) on 20th and
21st March, 2015. A team of 17
members under able guidance
built this startup from scratch
which went on to become the
limelight of Tecnitude’15. The
speciality of this Food startup
was that every dish available in
the menu was prepared by
members of E-CELL DMCE
home-made ingredients and at
minimal margins. The aim of this
event was to provide E-CELL
DMCE members a taste of real
Entrepreneurship. Members
learned Entrepreneurial man-
agement and pressures under

Real-life constraints and challenges.
The support from students and staff of
our College in the form of the number
of turnouts was overwhelming to say
the least. The pressure of serving good
food at reasonable prices was known
to the team. However, this did not
dampen their spirits as they served out
quality dishes back-to-back for seven
hours each day.

Their efforts were appreci-
ated by the Faculty and
students alike on a special
area of the Food stall,
called “DREAM CATCH-
ER” . Hygiene was of par-
amount concern for E-
CELL DMCE, and in that
effect, the members deal-
ing with food at the stall
were equipped with steri-
lized gloves and hair-
masks throughout the day.
The bestsellers at the stall
were Pani puri in eatables
and Virgin Mojito in drinks.
Also, home-made choco-
lates were sold
out by the end of the first
day itself! All in all it was a
great experience which we
will carry with us for the
rest of our lives.

Some more perks
ECELL members not only organise events in college events in college but also
attend those organised by ECELL teams of other colleges. We attended the
“INNOVADORA” event at Terna college of engineering, attended a business plan
workshop at Lokmanya Tilak college of engineering and many more competitions
as well. Our team members have won some competitions both at individual and
group levels. Recently we attended “The Entrepreneurship summit 2015” at IIT
Bombay on 31st January, 2014 and 1st February, 2014. We continuously update
many business related news, inspirational videos and information about all the
business related events happening in our and other colleges to keep our follow-
ers updated and make them learn more. Now, we are planning many more events
to be conducted in our Technitude 2015. We aim at working towards spreading
entrepreneurship as much as we can!!
Our Vision
Engineering Students are undoubtedly one of the brightest in the country. With
the rise of engineering students opting out of placements to start their own firms,
these students have sparked a flame of self-employment with their sheer bril-
liance. DMCE students are no less. And at E-CELL DMCE, we aim to foster this
spirit of Entrepreneurship among each and every student and also provide them
a platform to harness their entrepreneurial potential to the greatest extent and
also to provide them every opportunity to be an entrepreneur.
