Monday PM Photography/Photojournalism – Creative Dance Kids Shoot from the side, shoot up high, shout down low, take a photo of your toes! In this class students will develop basic photography skills by doing fun, hands-on photography activities such as “story time” and “scavenger hunt”. The class will culminate in a gallery showing of some of the best photographs taken by each student. Students are asked to bring their own devices that can take digital photos (ie smartphones, tablets, digital cameras, etc) to help them learn how to use photography and photojournalism in their daily lives. If your student doesn’t have access to this from home there are some options on a case by case basis.

Monday PM Little Belly Breaths Yoga – Little Belly Breaths The Little Belly Breaths Yoga and Mindfulness Curriculum is an age appropriate breathing, movement and mindfulness practice that sets the foundation for a calm and balanced mind, while building strong and flexible bodies. The Little Belly Breaths curriculum encourages growth and nourishment in a fun, playful, non-competitive environment. We combine traditional yoga poses (modified to be age appropriate, and with easy-toremember names) with creative expression, storytelling, breathing and mindfulness games and quite a bit of silliness to promote: • Physical Strength and Flexibility • Concentration, Focus and Attention • Inner Strength and Body Awareness • Confidence and Self-esteem • Relaxation and Self-control • A Feeling of Well-being and Respect for Others • Love for One's Self, Inside and Out We provide a weekly wrap-up to parents covering the concepts, breath work, yoga, and mindfulness activities for each lesson. The goal is to better facilitate engagement with your student about the topic of breathing and moving with one’s breath so that you can cue these skills when they are most needed.
