In today’s world where physical boundaries are no longer germane, one can not confine in one’s own shell. Globalization continues to play a pivotal role in business transactions and communication. Tomorrow’s businesses will require global citizens able to compete in an increasingly globally interdependent society. With a belief in this ideology, a study abroad tour was incorporated by I.T.S in academic session 2011-12 in which students were taken to various universities in Singapore and Malaysia. Such a tour helps in creating an international awareness and cultural sensitivity along with academic brilliance and sharp business acumen.

An individual is better equipped to make occupational plans after understanding his/her own abilities and characteristics. The main objective of career counselling cell is to guide students to get into a career that is suited to their aptitude, personality, interest and skills. It is the process of making an effective correlation between the internal psychology of a candidate with the external factors of employability and courses.

Students are encouraged to verbalize their expectationsThe objective being to help an individual to understand himself more clearly and develop his own thinking an outlook and to help individuals understand the forces and dynamics operating in the system.

Holistic development is the cornerstone of personal academic and career success. The faculty at I.T.S assumes the role of a mentor to help the students as their friend, philosopher and guide. This practice ensures strong teacher-student relations with a view to solve students’ problems in the most effective manner possible.

Lectures introduce concepts, issues and also moderates the exchange of views. They become the starting point of thinking and reading the course.

The tutorials with small class sizes, take up application oriented issues, solving problems, case studies and discussions on issues concerning various topics. Tutorials are also used as a platform for intensive discussions on course work which forms the basis of final assessment.

By working in small groups for developing and making presentations, participants experience the challenges associated with group responsibility, collective decision making and persuasive communication.

Eminent personalities from corporate world like Dr. Dinesh (CEO, National Co-operative union of India), Dr. Piyush Saxena (Sr. Vice- President, Corporate Affairs, Reliance Industries Ltd.) are invited in the campus for providing valuable insights. Industry visits (e.g at Parle G, Bisleri etc.), are organized to provide a proper understanding of the industrial sector and relate theoretical knowledge to real life situations. Boot camp at places like Dam Dama lake provides adventure & inculcates various skills in students like leadership skills, courage, risk-taking abilities etc.

Projects and assignments are an important part of learning process. Students are expected to apply the concepts to real life management problems in these assignments.

Towards an endeavor to give back to society in which we live, the social service club has been constituted at I.T.S. By being a part of this club, students acquire the sensitivity to care for others and help the needy to go towards higher kinds of corporate and social responsibility.

Theatre workshops for the members of the club are conducted by some of the prominent theatre personalities. The learning and efforts of the club are culminated in full length play at the end of year.

The institute aims at the physical development of students beyond academics-excellence outside the classroom. The institute provides facilities and coaches for various sports like volleyball, tennis, chess, and badminton etc. I.T.S has been winning the inter-college cricket championship continuously for the last few years. I.T.S has also won the inter college Basket ball championship this year.

Scholarship Schemes

To encourage academic performance and to reward excellence in academics, I.T.S has installed a system of awarding scholarships to deserving and meritorious students. Categories include:

Merit Scholarship Scheme

Performance Improvement Award

All Rounder Award

Most Outstanding student award

This scheme awards meritorious students of I, II and III year with an amount of Rs. 10,00,000 /-, based on their performance in XII standard, I and II year respectively.

+For I year students based on their XII standard performance: Awarded at the time of admission and is applicable for first year only. In BBA the first ten admissions shall be awarded as per the following details:

• 80% and above - 3 students - 50% discount in academic fees of Year I only• 75% - 79% - 7 students - 40% discount in academic fees of Year I only

Likewise in BCA also, the first ten admissions shall be awarded as per the following details:

• 70% and above - 3 students - 50% discount in academic fees of Year I only• 65% - 69% - 7 students - 40% discount in academic fees of Year I only

( Note: Marks of Physical Education and other additional subjects not to be included while considering the eligibility for scholarship.)

For II and III year students based on their I and II year performance: This scholarship is awarded to top 10% meritorious students at the end of each year. Details are:

• The first one third of students gets a cash prize of Rs. 7500/-.• The second one third of students gets a cash prize of Rs. 5000/-• The third one third of students gets a cash prize of Rs. 2500/-.

It is awarded to the students who have shown maximum improvement from the first semester exams to the second semester exams of I and II year respectively. It is awarded to top 10 students of each section who show maximum improvement in terms of increase in percentage.

It is awarded on the basis of students’ performance in certain areas like academics, behaviour ( inside & out side class), participation in Extra-curriclar activities and additional responsibility in the campus. this award is given every year to one student each in BBA and BCA course respectively.

It felicitates final year students on the basis of their performance in academics and extra curricular activities. Top three students from BBA and BCA shall be awarded as per the following details:+I Position - Gold medal and cash prize of Rs. 7500/-+II Position - Silver medal and cash prize of Rs. 5000/-+III Position - Bronze medal and cash prize of Rs. 2500/-

‘Synergy’- The focus of bi-annual research journal is on contemporary themes, research study, book reviews, articles etc. The journal also encourages research on different practical areas of management, IT and issues related to the economy, industry and environment.

I.T.S brings out its own Newsletter quarterly. It focuses on major activities both academic and extra curricular in the campus. The main objective of this publication is to provide a round up of the happenings in the institute for awareness amongst its patrons, students, alumni, corporate world and all those who look towards this institute as a place of good professional learning.

Since its inception, I.T.S has always believed in the overall development of students and educating them holistically

rather than just making them literate in the area of management & I.T. To achieve this objective, I.T.S provides value added courses which helps in grooming the skills and impart knowledge beyond university course curriculum.

This course primarily aim at ensuring that students are effectively able to deal with the challenges of the corporate world. To provide this specialize knowledge, I.T.S has collaborated with external agencies of repute & design comprehensive curriculum for students. The options available with the students are in the field of marketing, finance and upcoming areas of I.T.

These courses are imparted through classroom lectures and lab exercises by the faculty of concerned agency. The books and study material of these courses are provided by the respective agencies. On completion of the program, the students are awarded certificate jointly by I.T.S, HCL or ICOFP.

I.T.S organizes summer training programs in the second year for students to work in an organization for a period of four weeks.
