of our student athletes vol-

unteered at Maple

School’s literacy night

called “Athletes Love to

Read.”

Carly Detmers, Sierra

Raskevitz, Zade Jenkins,

sented EHS along with

Congratulations to Ms. Davis for

winning the Mill 180 Park gnome

mascot competition

This fall Mill 180 Park put out a Call to Artists to de-sign a gnome to be the mascot for their indoor park. They were looking for both 2D and 3D sub-missions. Ms. Davis sub-mitted a 3D design in glazed ceramic named "Garden Harvest Gnome" and won first prize in the 3D category. The design features a gnome sitting on top of Mt. Tom, holding some vegetables and art-making tools with a pipe wrench at his side. These elements were all includ-ed as a nod to the City of Easthampton and its di-

verse history including the mill industry, the local renaissance of the Arts and finally the park's hydroponic vegetable cultivation. If you are curious about the contest, the information is here: https://www.mill180park.com/2017/11/28/design-gnome-competition/
