The bride is the daughter of Josephine Montemayor and the late Rob- erto Montemayor. The groom is the son of Mrs. Josefa Hinojos of Odessa and the late Ramon Hinojos. The couple will reside in Houston. •Amber Lancaster, a fourth grader at Eagle Lake Middle School and dau- ghter of Carl and Leslie Risk of Eagle Lake (Lesl ie' s employed at The Head- light), received an Award of Achieve- ment from ELMS for perfect atten- dance; outstanding language arts stu- dent; top math/science; passed TAAS (reading/math/writing); honor roll (1st, 2nd, 3rd & 5th 6-weeks); science fair, 3rd place; and academic recogni- tion in reading. She also participated in Field Day, receiving first- place for the three- legged race, second in the 440 relay and third in the obstacle course. Good job, Amber! •Alice Madary, daughterof Daniel and Inez Matura, has been accepted in the Family Nurse Practitioners Mas- ters Program at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. A senior research surgical oncol- ogy nurse at M.D. Anderson in Hous- ton for the past six years, Alice will begin work on her masters in Sept while she continues in the research program at M.D. Anderson. Alice completed her bachelor degree this month and was quickly ac- cepted into the masters program. We send our congratulations. •In the recent City Council story printed in the May 29 issue of The Headlight, there was an error in the name of the person representing the New Town Water Corporation. It should have been Willie Dancy not Richard Dancy. •Ann Duncan is proud to report that her granddaughter, Ann, was chosen as one of 19 outstanding stu- dents at the University of Texas. She is completing her Plan II thesis on his- torical restoration in Havana and will graduate in Aug.
