“Rising Youth Icon of the Year-2018-19”
A unique event to discover the multi-talented youth as “Rising Youth Icon” of
the year amongst the Junior & Senior colleges separately
Statement of Purpose
“We are committed and determined to redefine the cause of excellence in Education and
implement it through accelerated need based practical oriented process with holistic
approach to empower learner for self-exploration, to become a responsible global citizen
with deep rooted ethos of Indian culture and tradition”.

INTRODUCTION
o Everybody can get facilitated to think and do big through the process of observations
around and identifying the Role Model-THE RISING YOUTH ICON.
o We will select the student-the Rising Youth Icon, through series of competitions who
will be admired as the person to be followed. OBJECTIVES
o To provide unique platform for students to showcase their talent in different areas of
competitions
o To appreciate talent among the students from different streams
o To identify leadership skills among youth.
o To recognize the selected student through “Rising Youth Icon of the Year” award. ELIGIBILITY
o Junior RYIY: Students pursuing 11th & 12th of any stream & board
o Senior RYIY: Students pursuing graduation degree from any College of SPPU, SNDT,
KBCNMU & other deemed Universities within jurisdiction.
METHODOLOGY
General Rules & Information: The competitions will be organized separately for Junior College and Senior College
students.
The participation will be open to regular students of all Colleges.
No entry fee for participation.
Multiple entries are not allowed.
Decision of the Judges/evaluators shall be Final for each stage
Student shall be disqualified if any incorrect information is provided during
registration or at any stage
No TA/DA will be provided for participation by AEF.

FEATURES OF STAGES IN SELECTION PROCESS OF “RYIY”
STAGE 1: Direct Entry
Gateway for Stage 1:
1. Junior College: 11th & 12th of any stream & board.
2. Senior College: After 12th, student admitted for any Course.
The criterion for selection will be decided by organizers & 1000 each from
Junior & Senior College section will be shortlisted for stage 2.
STAGE 2: Online EQ & IQ Test
The students getting through Stage 1 will be eligible for the Online Test.
(around 1000 each from Junior & Senior College section will be shortlisted for
stage 2).
This test will be to judge excellence in EQ (Emotional Quotient) through 25
questions, and IQ (Intelligence Quotient) through 25 questions.
Thus total questions will be 50, having 50 marks (1 mark per question)
The time allotted will be 50 minutes.
Note: Based on the evaluation of the test, the merit list will be prepared to short
list 100 students from Junior College section and 100 students from Senior College
section.

STAGE 3: Group Discussion & Group Dynamics Round
* In stage 3, the evaluation Criteria will be based on following parameters:
Leadership Skills
Coordination with others
Presence of Mind
Presentation styles
Speaking styles
Process of Stage 3:
The students will be distributed in groups, each group having around 10 students.
Group Discussion Round: The theme for group discussion will be announced and floor
will be set open for discussion. Every participant will be judged for GD skills. Time of
20 minutes will be given for participation.
Group Dynamics Round: The activity based assignment will be given to the group.
The participation profile and Team mechanics will be judged to rate the Teaming
skills. Time of 20 minutes will be given for this activity.
Marks earned together by every participant under above categories will be considered
to prepare the merit list.
The output of this stage will be to short list around 25 students from Junior College section
and
25 from Senior College sections, to be forwarded for next stage 4.
STAGE 4: Individual Presentation Round
* Process:
Entrants in stage 4, will be now grouped as per the polarized/specific sector
of the participant declared at the time of registration at Stage 1.
This sector will be any one of the following: Commerce, Science, Management,
Technology, Education, Arts (all inclusive).

The participant will give in depth presentation of the specific sector on the
theme of his/her choice which will be declared to the judges in advance.
Time duration for presentation shall be up to 15 min followed by Q & A
session, for next 15 minutes

Presentation skills;
Communication skills
Relevance of the theme of presentation
Content & Design
Questions & Answer round
* The stage output will be to shortlist 5 students from Junior College section and 5
students from Senior College section for final round-stage 5.
STAGE 5: Personal Interview
Process:
There will be different panels for Junior College section and Senior College section
Each panel will have the members who are acknowledged in the relevant field of excellence.
The evaluation will be based on the parameters as follows:
Personal Presentation (Attire, Seating posture, Manners and etiquettes etc)
General Knowledge (Politics, Society, Environment, Economics, Spirituality,
Humanity etc.).
Leadership quotient.
Team Building Skills.
Any other parameter to judge personality.
Note:
For every stage evaluation & selection shall be done by Judges based on criteria
prescribed. Decisions of Judges shall be final & binding.

Rising Youth Icon 2017-18 Senior was awarded to Mr. Akshay Dixit from NDMVPS’s
KBT College of Engineering, Nashik. Rising youth icon were awarded with cash prize of
Rs.25000/- each, books worth Rs.1,000/- Certificate & RYIY trophy respectively.
