The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) was created, in June 2007, by Law 13 issued by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Ruler of Dubai, with an expanded vision to include strategic oversight for the complete health sector in Dubai and enhance private sector engagement. The DHA's aim in Dubai is to provide an accessible, e�ective and integrated healthcare system, protect public health and improve the quality of life within the Emirate, and to transform Dubai into a leading healthcare destination by fostering innovative and integrated care models and by enhancing community engagement.

Presently in its 18th consecutive year of publication, HEALTH is one of the longstanding health & �tness publications in the region. It is highly regarded and read by a large segment of healthcare professionals and general public in the region and globally. Health is a Bi-Monthly, Bi-lingual (English and Arabic) magazine with a BPA-audited circulation of 20,000 copies and a readership of around 80,000. It is licensed by the National Media Council, UAE

The members of the jury include: Dr. Ajit Nagpal (Chairman & Director General – Amity University Middle East) – the Jury Chairperson, H. E. Dr. Maryam Matar (Chairperson – UAE Genetic Diseases Association), Dr. Mouza Abdulla Al Sharhan (Head of Pathology, DubaiHospital-DHA and President of Emirates Medical Association-UAE), Dr. Fuzan Al Khalidi (Director of Healthcare Strategy and Policy, the Prime Minister’s O�ce), Dr. Muna Abdul Razzaq Tahlek (CEO - Latifa Hospital) and Mr. Issac John (Deputy Business Editor – Khaleej Times).

HEALTH Awards aims to build on its credibility and prestige, to emerge as the global hallmark ofprofessional excellence in healthcare, in the future.

HEALTH awards follow a transparent process of assessment. With the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) the o�cial assessment body in Dubai for healthcare professionals – as one of the organizers, the nominees would go through stringent scrutiny of their claims and credentials, making sure that the most deserving ones make it to the �nal list.

Nominations of HEALTH Awards 2018 will be evaluated by 12 external evaluators, which includes site visit, and will be �nally judged by eminent jury.
