At CBDC we feel that every patient with a bleeding or clotting disorder is important.

Hemophilia gets a lot of attention in ourworld (and it should), but there are amyriad of other bleeding/clotting disordersthat our patients deal with on a daily basisthat deserve recognition and greater understanding amongst the general population.

With that goal in mind, the staff at CBDChave set out to raise awareness for

“other” disorders by visiting with area providers and sharing information about each disorder. We are also using our website (compbleed.com) and social media outlets including Facebook,YouTube, and Twitter to spread the word.

“We’re going to dedicate a week a month for the rest of the year to different bleed-ing disorders,” said Ryan Hinnen, Marketing Coordinator at CBDC. “We wanted to turn attention to some of the other disorders each week including Hemophilia Carrier Awareness Week, ITP Week, DVT Week, von Willebrand Dis-ease Week and Hemochromatosis Week, justto name a few.”

Upcoming Awareness weeks include Hemo-chromatosis and Anemia Weeks in July and August.

“We decided it would be a neat idea to try something different. Not only is this a contest among local establishments, but also a fundraiser to benefit the outreach education and programming that CBDC con-tinues to do year after year for our patients and the community,” said Ryan Hinnen, CBDC’s Marketing Coordinator. “Plus who doesn’t enjoy
