Growing up under such miserable circumstances, you learn only one thing:

The Dream is Collapsing

Dam-tam-tamaa-ting-ting-ting-tam-ting-ting-täng-täng . . .

Rushing through the black night, suddenly, I heard so very bright,a bell ringing, like a sign from the past,it struck me terrifying in my shadow cast.

. . . täng-täng-tingating-ting-ting-täng-täng-tam-tam-ting . . .

Although it was only a single stroke,in the starting fall, I completely broke, while the sound felt as a death−knell to my heart,it was just life, the beginning of the worst part.

. . . täng-täng-ching-ching-tingating-tam-ting-ting-täng . . .

When a shrill cry placed itself to the echo in the air,the fall started to accelerate and I began to despair, while it rang crude out in the night,I felt a numbing pain, in my sight.

. . . ching-dam-ting-ting-täng-täng-chäng-ting-ting-tam-tam . . .

The fear−shriek sounded ghastly dreadful, making the very existence, more painful,it rent the dark, like thunder−lightning the dead silence, becoming a high enchantment of surpassing excellence, for horror, for terror, for all that life has to offer so devilishly, engulfing us with false promises, which we believe foolishly!

The dream is collapsing,in vain the mind is lapsing,a tearing creak, a slithering split, filled with poisonous draughts, like slender veins of silver−gold, running through all the thoughts.

. . . dam-da-da-da-da-dam-da-da-dam-dah-dam-dam-da-da-dah . . .

The dream is collapsing,in vain life is elapsing, the shrill demented choir of pierced hearts,is top of all the sweet and beautiful charts.

The dream is collapsing,in vain our hopes are lapsing, the bittersweet mead for the soul, called dream,is stilled, like every other golden or silverstream.

. . . damm-da-da-da-da-damm-da-da-dam-drah-dam-dam-da-da . . .

The dream is collapsing,in vain our wishes are elapsing, the hour of shadow, into which we slipped and slithered, leaving the mind broken, every thought gone, withered.

The dream is collapsing,in vain our souls are lapsing, which have been for far too long wickedly tormented, their shattered flakes, forever stay horribly demented.

All the hopes and dreams that we had,are gone, leaving us in darkness bad,our hearts burned forever to black ashes, all the dreams that we had, life smashes!

. . . damm-da-damm-da-damm-dah-damm-da-damm-da-damm-da.

If we shadowes haue offended,Thinke but this (and all is mended)That you haue but slumbred heere,While these Visions did appeare. And this weake and idle theame,No more yeelding but a dreame,Gentles, doe not reprehend. If you pardon, we will mend.

William Shakespeare − A Midsummer Night’s Dream
