ªThe shelving system in China National Classification Scheme is based on the chronological order of cataloging instead of alphabetical order of composers' names

Format issue

ªCNMARC comes from UNIMARC, while MARC 21 comes from Library of Congress.

ªLibrarian tend to use both to save efforts for copy cataloging. Book in Chinese is cataloged in CNMARC, while Book in English is cataloged in MARC21.

ªTo assign items to their idel catagories, we create new catagories for them.

Cutter NumberªIn order to manage authority control of composers, we

establish a new cutter table for it.
