The Decree of the Government of Georgia

on the conferring the Category of the National Importance to the Monument of Intangible Heritage: "Living Culture of the Three Ancient Writing Systems of the Georgian

Alphabet"

Article 1. According to the Law on Cultural Heritage, item I, art 18, the Monument of Intangible Heritage "Living Culture of the Three Ancient Writing Systems of the Georgian Alphabet" shall be granted the Category ofNational Importance.

Article 2. The decree shall enter into force from the date of its publication.

On the listing of the intangible heritage element - "Living Culture of Three Writing Systems of Georgian Alphabet" as a Monument of Intangible Heritage

With the aim to provide legal protection for the historical-cultural properties of Georgia, in accordance with the articles 51,52 and 53 of the "General Administration Code of Georgia", item 3 or the article 15 of the Law "on Cultural Heritage" of Georgia and sub-item a) of the item 1 of the article 1 of the Administrative Agreement #l, 8 April 2014, between the National Agency for Cultural Heritage Preservation of Georgia and the Ministry of Culture and Monuments Protection of Georgia,

Hereby, I order: 1. To list the "Living Culture of Three Writing Systems of the Georgian Alphabet" as a

Monument of Intangible Heritage; 2. The Legal Unit of the National Agency of Cultural Heritage Preservation of Georgia shall

implement respective measures to publish this information on the website of the Ministry of Culture and Monuments Protection;

3. The Decree shall enter into force from the date of its publication.

The Decree can be appealed against from the side of the interested party from the moment of its official publication within the period of one month in the Ministry of Culture and Monuments Protection of Georgia (address:#4, Sanapiro str., 0105, Tbilisi).
