    SYMPTOMS

    When attempting to open a form in Hyperion Planning the following error is displayed:

    "The data form XXX is invalid. Check log for details"

    The following error can be seen in the Essbase Application log, .log:

    "Error executing formula for [YYY]: status code [1130203] in function [@_XREF]", as well as 'Login failed"

    CAUSE

    There is a problem with authentication of the location alias used in the XREF function for member YYY.

    SOLUTION

    Reset all Location Aliases for the Planning application:

    1. Login to the Essbase Administration Services (EAS) console.2. Right click the Planning application's database.3. Select Edit -> Location Aliases.4. Retype the password.5. Select TEST and check it is verified.6. Select SET to save.

    Repeat for each location alias on each plantype.
