Founded in 1991a voluntary, not-for-profit organisation promoting the best and safe practice in equine Facilitated activities and Therapies (eFaT).

Membershipregistering 61 eFaT centres and 70 individual members (physical, occupational and speech therapists, physicians, psychologists, nurses, social workers, special educators and riding instructors).

Therapy horse Certification programsince 2011, evaluated 319 therapy equines to verify conformation and skills to meet eFaT requirements.

equine welfareTaking care and working with our equines following welfare rules. To protect them, in 2009, we issued the „rules for protection of equines in eFaT.“
