Conjure To perform illusions and magic tricks that require agile hand movements, usually for entertainment. Quaking To shake or tremble, especially with fear. Abyss Something that is immeasurably deep, or infinite. Fraud The crime of obtaining money or some other benefit by deliberate deception. Sarcasm Remarks that mean the opposite of what they seem to say and are intended to mock. Pallor An unhealthy looking paleness of complexion. Indignant Angry or annoyed at the apparent unfairness or unreasonableness of something. Calamity Disastrous situation or event. Blasphemy To swear in a way that insults religion. Prosecutor Someone who initiates a legal prosecution. Plaintiff Somebody who begins a lawsuit against somebody else. Guile A cunning, deceitful, or treacherous quality. Mimic To make fun of somebody by imitating him or her in an exaggerated way. Contempt A powerful feeling of dislike toward somebody or something considered to be worthless, inferior, or undeserving of respect. Sublime So awe-inspiringly beautiful as to seem almost heavenly. Purged To get rid of something undesirable, impure, or imperfect. Gaunt Extremely thin and bony in appearance.
