• Life expectancy has increased in Britain over the last several years. This is partly because of improved housing conditions but other factors were also important.

• You should mention the impact of the issue mentioned in the question as well as other factors.

• Take new paragraphs between each developed point.


• Here is an example of a developed point for the same question:

• Improved housing increased life expectancy greatly. Previously many people lived in cramped slums and shared toilets which caused disease and led to people dying younger. However, the building of new council estates with gardens and open spaces meant that people lived longer and were less likely to die as a result of poor housing conditions.


• Here is an example of a developed point for the same question:

• Although housing was important, other factors had an impact on life expectancy. The introduction of the NHS meant that people could get medical help when they were sick. Previously people couldn't afford to see a doctor. This was a major reason why life expectancy increased in Britain.


• CONCLUSION

• This should summarise your argument in one or two sentences

• In conclusion, improved housing conditions increased life expectancy in Britain to a great extent, however other factors especially the introduction of the NHS and improved diet also had a major impact.

So you need three developed points or 6 weak points to get full marks.
