The course Evaluation and Measurement in Education, taken by Farhan Azimsir was mostly about taking measures on developing the quality of thestudents by judging their present and past states through tests andexaminations. The course also included standard rules to set up questionpapers and their reasons to be set up like so. To standardize the evaluationsystem we had to go through statistical lessons. This was an absolute vastand elaborate course comparing with the limited duration fixed for onesemester, thus we didnt have much time but to cover the chapters uphurryingly as fast as possible. Some of us could not catch some of thelessons because of inattentiveness and for being late for the class. Ourcourse facilitator did his best to repeat the lessons that any student havemissed. To keep up with the pace of running time we were given home-worksinstead of doing some of the sums directly in the class-room, though theteacher helped us very well if any problem, both theoretical and

mathematical, was asked in the classes. The in-courses taken were of verystandard questions, and whoever practiced well beforehand were surely ableto submit the answers confidently, if any student lacks to gain good marks, ittotally is upon the student himself. One very good aspect of our teacherwhat I have observed and what felt very generous to me was that, he neverdeprived any student or classified one from another. The only thing I want toconclude with is, we have learnt a lot of heavy staffs within a very limitedtime and really are fit to apply these things practically and the for that, thetotal credit goes to Farhan Sir who guided us through this long and roughjourney with charming student-friendly attitude and I am never going toforget the jokes he used to tell us when the lessons seemed heavy likeanything, specially the one about moony eyes.
