THE CORRECT TIME OF BIRTH RECTIFICATION

I state in brief a few points about the birth time. These points could help

persons who do not know the intricate calculations of pre natal birth and

rectification. Even for a correct pre natal calculation, the conception time is

important (referring to H Bailery's "Pre Natal Epoch) where there are 64

variations, laws of sexes, etc. There are also correction through Kunda

    Navamsa (Nava Navamsa), etc.

In Satya Jatakam, Satyacharya writes that there are three moments which

can be taken as birth time, for which the horoscope can be cast:

    1) Adhana lagna the

moment of conceptionThe moment of conception is hard to determine

because even if one knows the precise moment that

the seed was deposited in the womb that is not the

moment of conception because it takes some time for

the sperm to find the ovum; it could take hours and

sometimes even a day or two, because the sperm can

live from 3-5 days inside the woman's body.2) Siro darshana lagnawhen the head becomes

    visible

if the head shows first then the birth time is when the

    feet come out.

    3) Bhu patana lagna

    when the body

    touches the earth

Bhu patana referred to the fact that in earlier days

women in India didn't lay down to give birth but

squatted holding on to a rope or other means of

    support during the labor.

In todays conditions: women have babies in

maternity wards where they lay down on a bed, toadjust the principle to the present situationthat is,

baby's body wholly leaves the mother's body is the

    time of birth.

In todays conditions: women have babies in maternity wards where they lay

down on a bed, to adjust the principle to the present situationthat is, baby's

body wholly leaves the mother's body is the time of birth. At this juncture, Iwould like to state that the clock should be set correctly and the time also

    noted correctly.

Sage Satyacarya states that the first two moments are hard to ascertain (to

get the correct time of rectification, one should know the time and place of

conceptionrefer point no. 1 above) and that one should, therefore, take the

    third one only.
