Abstract
The workforce is becoming increasingly distributed, located in branch or remote or home offices around the world, and is becoming increasingly mobile, with workers transiting within their campus, between main or branch or home office, and customer sites: wherever they need to go to do business. Customers expect to engage with an enterprise anytime, anywhere. These aspects drive the evolution of the virtual enterprise and the requirement for always-on communications, where all services, applications and information are equally available across access points. Successful enterprises will operate within an environment which eliminates barriers to communication and which enables a highly engaged level of collaboration that is secure, reliable and transparent to users across corridors, campuses or continents. Employees must be highly accessible to customers and co-workers, with the flexibility to adapt to the varying work environments. This presentation will provide a vision for how this convergence of office applications and telecommunications can be brought together to achieve a whole much greater than the sum of the parts.

What If?
> … you could be connected to the right person, at the right time, exactly when you needed, anywhere – anytime?
> … you could access your email, even if you didn’t have your PC?
> … you could have a face-to-face meeting, with a colleague in another city – without anyone leaving their office?
> … you could reduce telephone tag and reduce the number of voice mail messages people left for you?
Imagine the possibilities …
