The journey is always excitinginteresting things to see, good food to eat, getting to spend extra time together with folks you love, and the anticipation of arriving at the final destination. I probably dont need to tell you that while the journey may be exciting the preparations are not so much of a joy. Even on short trips there is packing to be accomplished, reservations to be made, pet care arranged, along with many other time consuming things to be taken care of. In a sense, the demands of being prepared for a journey, can keep one from going anywhere. So what is it that motivates a person to move or take a trip of any kind? To put it simply, the motivation comes from the anticipated reward waiting at the other end. In our current situation were motivated by the reward of beginning a new season of ministry with the folks at DWMBC. In a greater sense, the reward of standing one day in the presence of the Lord is what motivates the Christian to endure the trials faced in this life. As Paul communicates so well in 2 Corinthians 4:18, “…we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal. So let us each press forward in the work that God has called us to! Psalms 34:1-3 I will bless the

Lord at all times; His praise

shall continually be in my mouth.

My soul makes its boast in the

Lord; let the humble hear and be

glad. Oh, magnify the Lord with

me, and let us exalt his name

together!

Wow, what an encouragement.

As Christians, this should be

our theme; praising the Lord at

all times, blessing His name,

boasting about the Lord, hum-

bling ourselves before Him, mag-

nifying the Lord, and coming to-

gether with other believers to do

all over again. Just an encour-

agement to make a deeper com-

mitment to our church in your at-

tendance.

Worship Choir

It’s not too late to join the choir

for our Easter Musical. We need

more voices to come and make a

joyful noise with us. We meet at

7:10pm each Wednesday.

-Mark Taylor

Things are heating up in the

youth department. We started a

league for a game we made

called “Trashketball”. There is a

fun version of it online, however;

we made official rules and a rule

book. They have been having a

blast playing it on Sunday nights

and are continuing to invite stu-

dents to attend. Currently the

records are as follows Team

Shark is 3-0, DreamKillers are 1-

2, and Team Steel is 0-2.

We are learning how to cut out

the distractions in our lives. Cell

phones, friends, hobbies, etc…

can be great and help us along

our journey on earth, but if it dis-

tracts us from our relationship

with our Lord and Savior it needs

to be cut.

A lot of deep discussions on

Sundays have brought me such

joy.

The youth garage sale is com-

ing up soon! If you would like

to donate anything to the youth

department call the office. The

drop off point is the gym in the

FLC. God has been blessing

us with more and more dona-

tions, we are just so thankful

for his provision.
