Troubleshooting and backup.

The Walking Dead

Troubleshooting and backup

– Check the power lead is in the power point… and that the power point is turned on.

– Check the batteries in your remote – this one’s an easy fix.

– Double check the wall plate is secure, and the cable running to the Foxtel box is fixed in place.

It might sound obvious, but:

– Turn off the power at the wall for around a minute, and then try again.

– Check the cable running from the Foxtel box to the TV is secure.

The list below deals with some of the issues that might be easily fixed

Troubleshooting

Still meeting resistance?

What’s happened? Try this

I’m receiving a No Signal/No Satellite Signal message.

Reset your box. If this doesn’t work, ensure the signal cables from your Foxtel box to the wall are secure. If you have an iQ/iQHD and receive No Satellite Signal, you must have 2 signal cables for service.

I’ve lost my Foxtel Picture. Make sure your Foxtel box is turned on and your TV is set to the correct input/channel – this is generally an AV/VIDEO or HDMI channel (check page 32 for channel number).

I can’t see free-to-air channels anymore. Do the FTA channels appear in the TV Guide? If not, please note that our retransmission agreements with Freeview channels depend on state and platform. To find out more call 131 999.

My picture looks stretched/squashed. Your STU may be set to the wrong picture settings. If you have a widescreen or flat screen TV your TV Type should be set to 16:9. To change your picture settings, hit setup and then select ‘Program Display’.

It’s not the end of the world......But it can feel like it. So before trying anything else, try resetting your box. First, find the BACK and SELECT button on the front of your Foxtel

box, press and hold both of these buttons for a few seconds and the box will turn off. Let go, and the box will reset after a minute.

Be prepared

Setup tips and tricksThere are lots of options for how you like to view, just by hitting setup . Follow the prompts to:
