Connecting the school community
In an increasingly technological world, Sacred HeartCollegewanted to embrace the ideaof truly connectingthe school community and this included access to therichMazedatabuiltupover years.eMazeprovided thesolution, extending information and flexible access toTeachers, Staff andParents fromwithin the school, fromhome,oroverthepublicinternet-withdigitalencryptionofdataofferingpeaceofmindandsecurity.

All teachingstaff canaccess the recordsof thestudentstheyteachandareable toproduceavarietyof listsandreports easily, anytime, anywhere. Teachers have foundeMaze particularly easy to use with its intuitive webinterfaceandtheyrequired little training.Givingteachersaccess to feature-rich Maze data and reports hasstreamlined workflows, allowing office staff to focus onotherduties.Officestaffhavealsoreportedthatelectronicpay slips havebeenanenormous timesaver - nomoreprintinganddroppingenvelopes intopigeonholes- justclickabuttonineMazeandallisdone.
Online academic reporting
One of the school’s first targets when they introducedeMazewasthateveryteacherwouldcompleteacademicreporting online. This project was overwhelming in itssuccess – one teacher even completed their academicreportswhilstonurgentleaveinIreland,highlightinginaverypracticalway thebenefitsof the flexibleaccess thesystemoffers.

All parents now have access to their children’s details,timetables,attendanceandfinancial recordsviaeMaze.ParentsnowemailtheschoolviaeMazewithanychangesor updates that are required, which has significantlyimprovedtheaccuracyofrecords.
Parents can view their children’s timetables and knowexactly what they are studying at school. As parentscan view all absentee data, contact related to studentabsencesisfarmoreimmediate.

School Newsletters are published via the eMaze portal,savingtimeandpaperresources.Thisallowstheschooltocutphotocopyingchargestofamiliesandtheynowknowthateveryfamilyhastheopportunitytoreadthenewsletter.ParentsgiveexcellentfeedbackwhenemailingviaeMazeand the school loves howquick the responses are. Theschoolisalsothrilledthatmoreparentsarenowaccessingthe school website via eMaze, ensuring the communityare accessing up to date policy, news, community andcurriculum information.Therehasbeenahuge increaseinparentcontactregardingtheschoolwebsite.eMazeishelpingSacredHeartCollege’saimtobecome‘paperless’withtheschoolplanningtouseeMazetopublishavarietyof online forms for such purposes as enrolments andexcursions.
Future plansSacred Heart College are also looking forward to extendingeMaze so that parents can access Interim and Semesteracademic reportsonlineanddownloadvia theweb,savingonpaperandprintingcosts.
