To God Be the Glory, Great Things He Has Done!
“ Wonder and Glory”
The miraculous birth of our Lord is an amazing and glorious event. The Promised Messiah coming to earth as a baby and being welcomed by angels and shepherds is a timeless story that never grows old. As we read the Christmas story once again, we are filled with awe and wonder. We celebrate His magnificent arrival with joy and praise. In just a few short weeks, we will have the opportunity to do just that! On Sunday, December 10
th during the Morning Worship
Service, our Celebration Choir, Student Choir and Kidz Praise Choir will join together to lead us in a delightful and inspiring Christmas Musical entitled, “Wonder and Glory”. This unique Christmas celebration will involve not only this multi-generational choir, but also a trio, duets, soloists, worship band, and congregation! People of all ages will unite in the telling of the birth of Jesus Christ through the combination of scripture, fresh arrangements of best-loved carols, incredible new congregational worship songs, and dynamic anthems. It will be an exciting time as we exalt His name together! On Sunday, December 3
rd during the Morning
Worship Service, our Preschool Choir (ages 4 and 5) will begin our service with a couple of Christmas songs that they have learned. And in addition to that, our “Multi-Gen Christmas Choir” will present one of the songs from the Christmas musical. Invite your friends. Bring your family. Let’s celebrate Christmas together! Sincerely His, Tim

Thanksgiving Schedule
Due to the Thanksgiving Holiday, there will be no
Wednesday night activities, November 22, 2017.
The CDC and Church office will be closed on
Thursday, November 23, and Friday, November
24.
For 172 years, Southern Baptist churches have sent mis-
sionaries to the unreached across the globe. Our collective
work has built a foundational identity that has shaped IMB.
This Christmas season, we continue that legacy by partici-
pating in the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. Together we
financially support more than 4,000 Southern Baptist mis-
sionaries that share the gospel all over the world. This year,
our church has set a goal of $71,500. Our collective giving
enables missionaries to be sent to make disciples and multi-
ply churches among unreached peoples and places for the
glory of God. Our Prayer Walk will be December 10th.

F irst Baptist Church strives to be a family-friendly
and child-protective ministry. To that end, every
person working in any capacity with any of our
children – birth through high school – is a member of the
church and has undergone a background check. Persons
desiring to participate in Vacation Bible School will be serv-
ing along side our children and students. Therefore, it is nec-
essary for them to be church members for at least 6 months
and to complete an online background check. Non-members
desiring to serve should begin the process of becoming
members by Sunday, January 2, 2018 and then complete the
background check. If you have questions about church mem-
bership, please speak with Pastor Cecil Sanders. Questions
about background checks should be directed to Brother Joel
Tucker. Our aim is to create a place where families can be
assured that their children and students are in good and god-
ly hands while participating in FBC ministries.
